In the life saving service, police and fire service, mountain and sea rescue the efforts will be coordinated by radio. Many human lives depend on the reliability of radio communications.
 | | To the left: The salvage vessels from the German Society for rescuing shipwrecked persons (DGzRS) are equipped with PROCOM antennas for communication in 4 m BOS, 3 m Crew-Finder, 3 m air craft band, 2 m marine band, 2 m mobile radio, 225 MHz military radio, 450 MHz NMT, 900 MHz GSM and 1575 MHz GPS navigation, SSB reception, 518 kHz Navtex together with differential GPS.
